Canyonlands Community Recycling (CCR) center, a non-profit corporation, has been serving the four corners area of the Colorado Plateau by providing recycling services since January 1991. Our rural community recycling program has received numerous awards for our commitment, dedication, organization and ingenuity.
Some local recognized achievements in recycling include:
- 1996 Rural Recycling Program of the Year Honorable Mention, Southwest Public Recycling Association
- 1997 Two Members received the Thomas A. Martin Utah Recycler of the Year Award, Recycling Coalition of Utah
- 2000 Cooperative Marketing Program of the Year, Southwest Public Recycling Association
- November 15, 2003, Mayor Sakrison proclaimed November 15th (America Recycles Day) as Moab Recycles Day
- 2008 One Member received the Thomas A. Martin Utah Recycler of the Year Award, Utah Recycling Coalition
